Medical. Lifecode provides genetic information for educational, informational, and wellness purposes only. It is not medical advice or a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment, and our reports are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making medical decisions, and never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you read here.
Testing & limitations. Whole-genome sequencing is performed by a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory. No genetic test is comprehensive. Many findings are probabilistic, and a result (or the absence of one) does not guarantee whether you will develop a given condition. As genomic science advances we re-analyze your data, and interpretations may change over time.
Privacy & our charter. Lifecode Health, Inc. is a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation. Unlike a traditional corporation bound to maximize shareholder value above all else, we are legally bound by our charter to pursue the protection of your genetic data. We do not, and cannot, sell or license your individual genetic data to third parties, and any future owner of Lifecode is held to that same commitment. You can access or permanently delete your data at any time.
